Time consuming, manual processes are common in supporting managed routers, particularly if a large number of operating systems are necessary to enable different types of sites and various features. These operations factors impact product margins and raise the risk of error in service delivery to customers. Juniper Networks J-series and M-series routers lower the operations efforts to remotely install, manage, monitor, and maintain equipment. Specific advanced management features include a next-gen command line interface (CLI) that simplifies configuration steps and enables fast rollback; a rescue button linked to a known working config; auto configuration for fast remote install; and auto record that automatically stores status changes. The J-series and M-series platforms readily integrate into existing management and operations support systems through an XML-based application programming interface known as the JUNOScript API.
